Lustica – is a peninsula surrounded by the Adriatic Sea from the one side and Kotor bay from another. Lustica is famous for the amazing beauty pristine beaches of the Adriatic Sea: Blue Horizont, Oblatno , Zhanitsa, Mirishte, Rose and others.
Oblatno and Blue Horizont beaches are coming out into the open sea and covered with fine white sand. Sloping entrance, sand, clear water and stunning views make these beaches ideal holiday destination for children and adults. In Oblatno bay there is one of the most "fashionable" equipped beach in Montenegro - ALMARA BEACH.
Mirishta and Zhanitsa beaches- are two bays in close vicinity, just 200 meters from each other. From Mirisha beach there is magnificent view on the Mamula island , where is military fortress Mamula, that was built by Austrians in the XIX century and used actively during the Second World War as a prison.
Zhanitsa beach that is situated along the sun valley Mirishte, officially is recognized as one of the best beach in Montenegro. Beach is covered with white pebbles and surrounded by unique olive groves, this place is a great place to stay. The azure sea water in these places gives this beach a special charm. From the beach every half hour the tourist boats depart in " Blue cave " - a unique natural monument protected by UNESCO.
Porto Rosa Beach is the other beach in Lustica that was received a well-deserved reputation in Europe. Rosa is a beautiful seaside village. It has become a favorite destination of the creative elite of Yugoslavia. There are many villas of Yugoslav artists, singers, musicians and artists. Here villa of Schumacher was built.
