Visa requirement for travelling to Montenegro

 

For the citizens of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Moldova and Armenia:

 

Each year before the beginning of the tourist season diplomatic missions of these countries coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro the period of the visa-free regime for the citizens of these countries for up to 30 days.

 

Citizens of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Georgia have to have a visa to travel to Montenegro.

 

Citizens of some countries in South America can stay in Montenegro without visa from 30 to 90 days.

Citizens of the European Union and Schengen, Serbia, the United States, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Turkey, Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates can stay in Montenegro without visa for up to 90 days.

Citizens of the Russian Federation and Belarus can stay in Montenegro without visa for up to 30 days.

 

If you want to stay in Montenegro for a longer period than provides visa-free regime or if your country doesn’t have a visa-free regime with Montenegro, you have to obtain a visa at the Embassy of Montenegro in your country.

Visa is issued for a period of 3 months.

 

For tourist visa you need to have a tourist voucher or invitation from a private person or Montenegrin company. Tourist visa is issued for 3 or 6 months. Also have the opportunity to obtain in Montenegro a temporary residence permit.

 

To obtain a visa you need:

 

- Foreign passport (passport have to be valid for more than a month after the trip);

- A filled application form in your language or in Montenegrin language;

- A photocopy of a tourist voucher or invitation;

- 2 photos of 3.5 x 4.5 cm.

 

 

Also, please, note that you have to register within 24 hours in police station of your town from the time when you entering Montenegro. Police stations are in every town in Montenegro.

 

If the child is accompanied by only one parent, the parent should have a notarized consent from the child's other parent.

 

If the child is accompanied by the accompanying, both parents should give an accompanying the notarized consents.
